This role provides subject\u2011matter expertise across FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Workers&#8217; Compensation, while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and internal policies. The LOA Consultant plays a key role in risk mitigation, proactively identifying compliance risks, documentation gaps, and process inconsistencies to support legally defensible, consistent, and employee\u2011centered leave outcomes.<\/p><p> <\/p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Administer and coordinate leaves and absences including FMLA, ADA accommodations, Workers&#8217; Compensation, medical leaves, parental leave, personal leave, and other company\u2011sponsored leave programs.<\/li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations.<\/li><li>Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding leave eligibility, documentation, timelines, and return-to-work processes.<\/li><li>Review, evaluate, and process medical certifications, ADA documentation, Workers&#8217; Compensation records, extensions, and return\u2011to\u2011work information.<\/li><li>Coordinate with payroll, benefits, HR partners, and third-party leave vendors.<\/li><li>Mitigate risk by identifying high\u2011risk cases, compliance gaps, and inconsistencies; recommend and implement corrective actions.<\/li><li>Provide consultative guidance on complex, escalated, or sensitive cases to support defensible outcomes.<\/li><li>Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation within HRIS and leave management systems to support audit readiness.<\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>4+ years of experience administering leave of absence programs within an internal HR or HR operations environment<\/li><li>Demonstrated experience independently managing FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Workers&#8217;
